Challenge

As a newcomer in the tiny home space, Haaven needed to build credibility and generate leads. To achieve this, we designed a multi-channel approach spanning social media ads, marketing campaigns, a product detail page, an interactive configurator, a permit checker, and booking flows for viewings and overnight stays.

Configurator

The configurator offered a way for potential customers to play around with the different models and features Haaven had to offer. It was a challenge to keep a minimal design in line with the Haaven branding while still displaying or making accessible relevant and detailed information.

Night mode

The Hazel features a distinctive semi-transparent roof which means light plays an important role so we included the ability to switch between night and day mode within the configurator.

Displaying costs

Unlike other prefabricated transportable tiny homes Haaven includes installation and delivery in their pricing. However, we learned from users that including the total amount within the configurator made it seem much more expensive than competitors. To clarify this we only displayed the cost for the physical home in the configurator and added a “Hazel installation” screen as the next screen to highlight what is included and the final pricing.

As part of any lead generation flow you eventually need users information. Instead of presenting it as “Personal Details” or something generic we called it “Save configuration”. The user at this point had presumably put some effort into their configuration and positioning it as a way to save their efforts helped convert into more leads.

The Hazel is not like other tiny homes. It merges custom design with customisability while keeping sustainability at the fore front, and features a transparent roof bringing the outside in. The product detail page needed to immerse and inspire people, highlighting the benefits and key features that make the Hazel stand out as a first choice tiny home for your garden.

The branding was created by Pentagram, one of the most iconic and well known design agencies in the world. Using the brand elements and key screens delivered we created a design system and structure that honoured Pentagram's vision while extending and evolving the brand across all channels.
